Lifebank Insception Cord Blood Program is proud to work in the community to spread the word about the bank cord blood. We formed several valuable partnerships with local hospitals to help prospective parents understand the benefits of choosing to bank cord blood of their children.
Our most recent partnership is with the Scarborough Hospital in Ontario. Together Insception and Lifebank TSH will work to encourage cord blood banks among minority families.
Statistic shows that only 0.3% of the Register of stem cell donors if South Asians in Canada, while Chinese representation was just 1.4%. 82% of the stem cell donors in Canada are Caucasian, with minorities with little chance of finding a match if they ever need a transplant of cells from cord blood stem.
