This week across the country and the United States, we celebrate National Medical Laboratory Week where we all recognize medical laboratory professionals who serve on the front lines of public health system.
Our health care system is fortunate to have dedicated and skilled laboratory professionals as key members of the patient to provide specific care team of medical tests results for Canadians. For 27 years, the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) sponsored National Medical Laboratory Week to promote awareness and understanding of the role of medical laboratory professionals.
National organizations such as the CSMLS, provide an effective forum through which members can network, ideas and benefit sharing of best practices across Canada. Encourage communication and professional development, CSMLS encourages professional excellence and pride among its members. The result is a stronger profession and work expanded team as we continue to work together to provide quality health care for Canadians.
this year's theme "Our goal is You" is a true reflection on the impact of laboratory professionals on daily patient care throughout the country and highlights the vital role of medical laboratory professionals to support the health and well-being of Canadians. More than 19,000 registered medical laboratory technologists are employed in Canada and their work makes a significant contribution to providing quality care to Canadians. laboratory tests, experiments and tests they conduct are often critical to the screening, diagnosis, treatment and disease prevention. http://ourfocusisyou.ca/
