Curious to know more about cord blood and the benefits of cord blood banking? Families living in Calgary and southern Alberta were treated to a special cord blood education event last week, and a new event happens for Ontario families this week.
Tomorrow night, July 22, Ottawa families can visit the Harmony Health Medical Center at 152 Cleopatra Drive beginning at 18:00 EST. Parents will be informed of cord blood and cord tissue banking, with detailed points explaining the benefits of the two banking options.
The following night, July 23 is another training seminar occurring at 1620 Tech Avenue in Mississauga, which will begin at 18:30 EST. In addition to the training seminar, families can also take a tour of the facility where the cord blood is stored after collection. Thanks to the tour, you can even have the questions answered that you never thought to ask - one of the best benefits of an inside tour of the facilities
During the training sessions, you can wait for you:.
· presentations that provide detailed information about the blood bank cord program
· an opportunity to speak with a nurse who is trained in the collection of cord blood
· a chance to meet other parents who are just as curious to learn more about cord blood
both events are organized in the evening to provide families the time to come around their busy daily schedules. Apart from live events, families can also sign up for an online Cord Blood training seminar, available once a month and may be assisted in the comfort of your own home.
