Face it, when you imagine a brown bag lunch to school, the word "gourmet" does not exactly come to mind . 1. Muffins & Cupcakes
We're used to seeing muffins and cupcakes with banana, blueberry and vanilla. But typically these sweet treats can be reimagined as savory pieces of a healthy picnic. The Mac & cheese "cake" is our favorite! (Although, Wicked Good Pizza Muffins, Cornbread Confetti Cupcakes and Mini Cupcakes Lasagna were determined runners up!)

2. Bento boxes
When the time (and Tupperware) is at a premium, the Bento box offers quick and creative way to develop a well-rounded, healthy breakfast in under 15 minutes. Using cupcake coatings for dividing the food and add color is a great way to keep the kids happy.

3. Sandwich 2.0
Even in adulthood, peanut butter and usual jam or turkey and Swiss can get boring after a while. These fun alternative to the usual suspects sandwich will keep the children guess what they will find in their lunch boxes!

4. Treats Plate
Sometimes all picky eaters have to dig a little fun! Use your imagination and be as creative as you like! This cute kitty food would be a welcome addition to one of our breakfasts, too!
