A six year old boy celebrated his way very few children would get to enjoy birthday. Danny Nickerson had a special birthday card created by the New England Patriots in the NFL Gillette Stadium, which was broadcast on the jumbotron inside the stadium.
sixth anniversary of Danny was a bittersweet event for the family. Only a few months after its fifth anniversary, Danny was diagnosed with a brain tumor that has been determined to be unusable, greatly reducing the life of the child. Doctors seek alternatives to potentially reduce the size of the tumor, which may include a given sample of umbilical cord blood.
But the tumor was the last thing on the mind of Danny, his family or the community July 25 Danny told his mother that all he wanted was for his birthday best wishes and thus obtain cards of people in the city.
her parents then displayed Danny's story on social media as well as his request to get well cards. The story touched thousands of people across the country and in Canada and elsewhere. For his birthday, Danny received more fan mail than all the combined community of Foxboro Massachusetts.
Foxboro is also home to the New England Patriots, and the team was touched by Danny's story. They organized a special birthday party for the practice of the Patriots on the anniversary of Danny and the six year old was invited on the ground by CEO Robert Kraft.
Together Danny and Kraft came out on the ground and the boy was given a special birthday card signed by head coach Bill Belichick and the team of New England. The team also gave Danny a themed gift bag Patriots LEGO - Danny spent part of his birthday at LEGOLAND -. And a team jersey signed
The father of Danny Daniel Jamieson could barely describe how the experience for their families.
