When children enter high school, we should all try to teach them to be more like 16 years Akshay Grover . The Montreal teenager ran from his hometown all the way to Toronto, approximately 550 kilometers in 13 days to raise money for children with cancer in Canada.

Akshay spent his summer training for the marathon that was part of a school project, which was to support a cause he believed. He said he was impressed with childhood cancer in Canada because most of the money they receive from donors goes directly to preventive treatment or rehabilitation, such as research on blood stem cells cord, to help improve the lives of children living with cancer.

Akshay began to run from his neighborhood in Montreal, Friday, August 1, and vowed to continue until he reaches Childhood Cancer Canada office in Toronto near Yonge and St. Clear. After 13 days on the road, Akshay has completed its purpose and sprinted to the finish line where he was greeted by a handful of supporters.

The also documented oldest parts of the multiday marathon 16 years to complete a video that will schools across Canada in the fall. Akshay said his goal with the video is to inspire young Canadians to stand up for what they believe, and do something to support a good cause.

"I guess I'm the kind of kid who goes the extra mile when it comes to a project."

Akshay goal was to raise at least $ 10,000 of by the end of the marathon. He was proud to hand over Childhood Cancer Canada a check for over $ 12,000 when he arrived at the finish line, with the media in Toronto encouraging viewers to support the travel Akshay with more donations.
