Expecting families and parents who are thinking about having another child are invited to Save the Cord Google Hangout from Foundation 9 October. the online event will begin at 13 pm ET, and will be a training seminar to teach parents all about how to donate umbilical cord blood of their baby.
Google Hangout will be controlled by Save the Cord cofounder Charis Ober and Kimberly Romo, Communications Specialist for the Tucson Medical Center in Arizona. Both will also invite a panel of experts from the cord blood bank to share their tips and experiences that support all donor cord blood banking program regulated nationally.
Save the Cord Foundation is affiliated with the hospitals that operate the successful cord blood banking programs in North America, or plan to establish their own in the near future. The Foundation believes in providing objective, factual to a hospital or a family interested in banking cord blood programs, and the team of volunteers works tirelessly to spread the Message Save the Cord.
The Foundation is currently helping create its Tucson Medical Center blood bank program own cord. Save the founders Cord Ober and Anne Sarabia are optimistic that the program could expand across the United States, and subsequently to provide more families with options to bank cord blood of their baby. The organization also supports a bill that would make mandatory the collection of cord blood after each birth in every state.
